Jeanette Mendez
My name is Jeanette Mendez and I am a graphic designer and illustrator from San Diego. I graduated from San Diego State University in December of 2012 with a Bachelor Degree in Art, emphasis in Graphic Design. What I like about graphic design is using images and using typography as images. When it comes to illustrations I like realism and I enjoy drawing people.
The main programs I work with are, Photoshop, Illustrator, Indesign, and PaintToolSai but I also know how to use DreamWeaver, AfterEffects, and Flash. Inspiration comes from many different things but fashion and music is what influences me the most.
Additional things about me:
I am bilingual, I can read and speak in English and in Spanish.
Also, I have studied French and Japanese. I stay creative by making things whether it's sewing, knitting, embroidery, beaded bracelets and even books. As a matter of fact I constructed my own hardcover bound portfolio in the Japanese side-stab technique while I also embroidered my 'M' logo on the cover.
All in all I just really love art, working with images, photos, colors, and everything that keeps a person creative and happy.
